How: using VoIP with DSL AT & T

VOIP is an acronym for "voice over Internet Protocol."

Its essence is the ability to call other people the Internet rather than a traditional phone line. People calling this method was Internet access more much more popular these past few years as high speed and more households subscribe to. AT & T is a cellular phone providers, but also provide services subscribers digital people in some areas to wide band Internet home as service line (DSL). With VoIP on your network-wide-band you is no different as it use any other DSL connection, you need just the right tools for VoIP. Difficulty: average

Instructions

You will need: (internal or external) webcam (internal or external) (optional) microphone or headset to hear things

    Use Skype on DSL AT & T

    Click on "Start", click "all programs".

    Find "Skype" with the mouse over the link and click once.

    Type your user name and password for the connection.

  • If the first time you've used this Skype is, click on the words "do you have a Skype name" and follow the on-screen instructions, make your Skype account.

    Click on the words "Call phones" below the dial pad.

  • Then type the number you call with the compose screen buffer. Finally, click "Call" button.

    Use Gmail on DSL AT & T

    Navigate to Google mail Web site (see resources).

    Click the words "download plugin voice" connection housing.

    Use Yahoo DSL AT & T

    Find the link "Yahoo! Messenger" and click it.

    Type your user name and password (if you don't have a Yahoo account, see resources, log to find out where to) and press "Enter" to connect.

    Click the button "Yahoo voice" in the upper part and select "call a phone number of my PC."

    Select the number that you use the compose screen buffer to contact, and then you "Call" button.
