How: send a fax from a computer running Vista

May be convenient for faxing from your PC.

Companies use fax for all types of document and information transfer. With help of a computer to fax and digital media time and energy can save, not to mention the price for the purchase of a a machine dedicated to fax. Windows Vista has a digital fax program, you can use to send documents in .doc, .docx and .pdf files. Difficulty: easy

Instructions

Things you need: Windows Vista modem related to an outgoing phone line

    Click the button "Start" in the lower left corner of the desktop.

From there select "All programs", "Fax", "Communication" and "Accessories" Finally, click on the "send a fax." If you can't find it in the directory, use the bar looking for research under the button "Start" for the word "Fax".

    Select "New fax."

  • This will take you to the new fax screen.

    Type the phone number you want to fax without spaces or the characteristics of the Union.

  • Click in the menu bar select "Insert" and click it. In the menu, click "file attachment" drop down menu.

    Navigate the files in the file selection screen to the folder where stored, that you want to fax.

  • Select a file from the list, and then click it. Click on the "Contact" button. Your file is now set and is ready to be faxed. Type a subject in the "subject" and press "Send". Your file will be sent to the phone number entered in the "to" field.
