Walkthrough: connecting to the Internet via telephone without a server

It is possible to connect to the Internet in several ways, including through a phone line.

This connection run need with routers or servers, but to order a provider of fixed-line Internet service. Level of difficulty: Moderately easy

Instructions

You need: the things line Internet service telephone earth cable

    Please contact your local fixed dial-up Internet service provider.

There are more than NetZero or Juno available. Most charge about $10 per month in 2010.

    Insert the installation CD product delivered with your service in the drive and wait a moment for the Setup Wizard load on the screen.

  • Follow the instructions in the installation wizard complete that install software on your computer.

    Open the program.

  • Type a user name and password, then enter in your location. Get a list of numbers in the region. Choose one of the numbers, and then click "OK".

    Close the cable phone to the phone jack in the wall, and then close the other end of the cable phone "In" port on the back of the computer.

    Click on "Connect" in your Internet program of connection to the Internet via fixed network connection.
