How: send a fax in Ubuntu

While e-Mail has become the de facto for sending documents from one person to another method, there even when times the only way to get a document to someone is to fax you.

Things that you can have a computerized version of the document on Ubuntu is complications. Fortunately, Ubuntu can print documents to a fax modem then sends a fax machine. Difficulty: easy

Instructions

Things you need: computer with fax modem installed

    Click on the "Applications" menu and then click "Add / Remove".

    Click the eFax-GTK-package to install it on your computer.

    Open the document that you want to fax, and use the "Print" command.

    Select the Fax icon in the Printers list.

  • 5

    Follow the instructions that are displayed such as the recipient's number and your fax cover sheet sent.
