Walkthrough: connecting to the Internet with a telephone line

During the phases of the early Internet was the only way to connect a telephone line.

   Contact a provider of Internet services to configure access to the Internet in your home.

You offer to connect to the Internet with a modem and software required.

Plug one end of a cord-bound telephone to a phone jack in your home.

Connect the other end of the rope phone "IN" port on the back of the modem.

Connect one end of a separate telephone in the "OUT" on the back of the modem port.

Plug the other end of the port of the phone line on your computer.

Set the Internet software into your computer CD drive.

To install the software, follow the instructions on the screen. Once installed, you can surf the Web.
