Walkthrough: connecting to the Internet with a telephone line

During the phases of the early Internet was the only way to connect a telephone line.

    Contact a provider of Internet services to configure access to the Internet in your home.

You offer to connect to the Internet with a modem and software required.

    Plug one end of a cord-bound telephone to a phone jack in your home.

  • Connect the other end of the rope phone "IN" port on the back of the modem.
  • 3

    Connect one end of a separate telephone in the "OUT" on the back of the modem port.

  • Plug the other end of the port of the phone line on your computer.
  • 4

    Set the Internet software into your computer CD drive.

  • To install the software, follow the instructions on the screen. Once installed, you can surf the Web.
